Converge|2:8 is the 501c3 parent organization of Genda Uganda. Converge|2:8 has established a Board of Directors consisting of John Patterson, Garrett Jackson, Nathan Wingate and Jason Huddleston.
The name “Converge|2:8” is derived from 1 Thessalonians 2:8 where the Apostle Paul wrote to one of his beloved church communities, “Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.” In this one verse we see the Great Commandment (Luke 10:27) converging with the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) through relationships; hence Converge|2:8.
The mission of Converge|2:8 is to partner with churches around the world to equip them for the ministry of making disciples of Jesus Christ. Our focus will be to provide relational discipleship for church and ministry leaders, educational sponsorship for children, financial support for churches, schools and rural outreach and to lead the next generation of Ugandans from poverty to purpose through education, vocation and the Great Commission.
