The Village of Grace
The Village of Grace is a home. The Village of Grace is not an orphanage and it is not an orphan home. It is a home with a family and a mother who felt God's call on her life to love on children who came from difficult circumstances.
Through various trips to Uganda, we became aware of groups of brothers who were living incredibly difficult lives. We knew God was asking us to care for them so we began asking many questions about what we could do. God put Village of Grace on our heart.
Some of the childrens parents have passed away but this does not make them orphans. They are so well loved by their "Mom" Florence and are thankful every day for the life God is giving them.
Agriculture for skills and sustainability
Our vision is to enhance the sustainability of the ministry (especially the Village of Grace) through commercial agriculture. Currently, our local partners in Uganda are growing 3.5 acres of Sugarcan for sale, as well as bananas and corn for the children to consume. However, the vision is to buy more land (10 acres of land) to scale up the growing of Sugarcane and start commercial coffee growing as well. Each acre of land costs around 3,000 USD.
